Located in Shiloh, Illinois, at exit 16 right off Interstate 64 the Bike Surgeon strives to be the premier bike and outdoor shop in the greater Metro-east area of St. Louis. We go all out every day to be your shop of choice for bikes and outdoor gear. We aim to deliver an unforgettable shop experience for our long time friends and our newest customers all while maintaining a phenomenal selection of industry leading bikes and gear.
HISTORY
The “Original” Bike Surgeon was founded in 1974 by Mark P. Robinson and is still in operation in Carbondale, run by Pat and Tricia Work. In 2009, Jon Greenstreet and Chris Norrington owners of The Bike Surgeon, Inc. made the decision to expand the business into the Metro-East area. With the help Tom Jackson (an O’Fallon, IL resident and top regional triathlete), a team was created that brought the second Bike Surgeon location to life in Shiloh, Illinois in July of 2009. Bike Surgeon is owned by a group of friends with a passion for the sport of cycling and a desire to provide an unforgettable bike shop experience.
BIKE RACING WITH KORTE HAMMER DOWN RACING
Just unveiled the evolution of MEC Racing is now Korte Hammer Down Racing and we are proud to partner with these two phenomenal organizations, Korte Construction and Metro East Cycling. Developing a great cycling team here in the Metro-East with opportunities for all levels of competitive cyclists from Junior to Pro, 1, 2.
